PNC Bank branch robbed; suspect flees

Suspect got away with undisclosed amount of money

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Authorities are looking for the man who robbed a Grand Rapids PNC Bank branch on Monday afternoon.

At about 4:15 p.m., a suspect entered the PNC Bank branch on Lake Eastbrook Boulevard SE with a tan and gray backpack and demanded that a teller give him money, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department. The teller complied.

The suspect then fled on foot north on the East Beltline with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Authorities are looking for a suspect described as a black male between 6-foot-2 and 6-foot-4, weighing between 230 and 250 pounds.

He was wearing gray pants, a black jacket and a black hooded sweatshirt. He was also wearing a black ski mask, white gloves, and black and white Nikes.

GRPD and the FBI are investigating.
