GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A downtown Grand Rapids restaurant and bar is shut down and cleaning out.
On Sunday, movers were seen removing equipment from The Ottawa Tavern, located at 151 Ottawa Ave NW, and all signs of the business had been removed.
The restaurant and bar's last night of business was Saturday.
The restaurant and bar called itself "Grand Rapids' only authentic jazz club, featuring GR's best local jazz talent and nationally touring favorites."
According to Grand Rapids blogger John Sinkevics , Greg Gilmore of the Gilmore Collection, which was leasing the building for the restaurant and bar, said they decided not to renew the lease.
Greg Gilmore told Sinkevics there are some who are interested in leasing the space in the future.
