GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A 30-year-old woman who police said admitted shooting her boyfriend to death on Christmas night has been released from jail as the investigation continues.

She has not been charged with any crime at this time.

Darwin Weathers was shot in the Leonard Street NE apartment on Tuesday night. The 34-year-old had recently moved to Grand Rapids from Saginaw.

There were three children inside the apartment at the time of the shooting, but it is unclear if they witnessed it.
