GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A man suffered life-threatening injuries after police said he was shot multiple times during a robbery attempt in Grand Rapids early Tuesday morning.
The victim was shot in his stomach and a hand.
He was walking in the 1100 block of Logan Street SE around 2:30 a.m. when at least two men approached him and tried to rob him, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department.
A neighbor called 911 after hearing the gunshots.
When police arrived at the scene they found the man lying in the grass next to the sidewalk. He was conscious and able to communicate with officers.
A police K-9 unit was called to the scene but unable to locate any suspects whose descriptions have not been revealed yet.
