GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Grand Rapids Police are investigating what they suspect was an attempted armed robbery Sunday morning after a man showed up at a local hospital with a bullet wound to the back.
Police say the 22-year-old victim was a passenger in a Chevy Malibu that was approached by a masked man near the corner of Eastern Avenue and Oakhill after 3:30 am.
They say the man had a bandanna covering his face and was armed with a long gun, when he tapped on the car glass indicating to roll down the window.
