GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The Great Skate Marathon,the highlight of the Winterfest that began at noon Saturday at Rosa Parks Circle, will help underprivileged and physically challenged kids in West Michigan.
The fourth annual event features every Grand Rapids Griffins player skating at least one hour at Rosa Parks Circle, and includes different sports demonstrations and family activities.
Among the skaters who will skate with the Griffins are 24 Hour News 8 reporters Larry Figurski, Dani Carlson and Crystal Hilliard.
The public is invited and the event ends at midnight Sunday night.
