GR water, sewer rates less for 2013

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Lower operating costs, a result of the City of Grand Rapids so-called Transformation Process, will save city water and sewer customers some money next year.
Tuesday morning, city commissioners approved reduced water and sewer rates for 2013.
Water rates for the city and nine suburban communities that buy water from Grand Rapids will drop an average of 4.4%. Sewer rates for those same communities will drop 2.5% on average.
