GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Grand Rapids city planners have created a game in order to get people talking about their ideas for the future of the Michigan Street corridor.
The " Quality of Life" game board reflects the four-mile-long area from the Grand River to the East Beltline, and also from Leonard to Fulton streets.
"Our citizens intuitively know what should go where," said Planning Director Suzanne Schulz. "It's trying to capture that with a game. It's a fun way to be creative and express themselves."
The board game allows people to travel up and down the corridor, considering issues of housing, transportation, infrastructure, and the economy.
The game can be picked up at the Grand Rapids Planning Department located on Monroe Street.
Game results are due back to the department by March 2.
