Semi on fire causes huge flames, smoke

Happened at Crosby and McReynolds

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Huge flames and smoke were caused by a semi fire Friday night.

The fire happened near Crosby and McReynolds in downtown Grand Rapids and was put out a short time later.

The semi trailer caught fire at Kent Quality Foods before catching another smaller truck on fire parked next to it.

It is still unknown what started the fire, but no one hurt.

The semi was close to a house, but firefighters were able to contain the blaze before it spread.
