GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A Grand Rapids home was badly damaged by a blaze on Monday afternoon.
It happened in the 4400 block of Whitewood Farms Drive in the Whitewood Farms subdivision not far from the Grand Rapids Golf Club.
Investigators said one woman who was home alone at the time, heard smoke alarms and got out of the house safely. She was not injured.
A large amount of damage could be seen to the upper floor roof.
Firefighters are still combing through the house to find a possible cause.
Fire departments from multiple municipalities responded.
