Fairfield Inn robbed in Grand Rapids

Police: Suspect had a gun

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Police continue to search for the man who they say robbed a Grand Rapids hotel at gunpoint.

It happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday at the Fairfield Inn, 3930 Stahl Dr. SE.

Police tell 24 Hour News 8 at the scene that a clerk gave some cash to the suspect wo ran away. A detailed description of the suspect is not available at this time.

A police K-9 unit could not track down the suspect.

Three other area hotel robberies occurred in May. One man was arrested in connection with at least one of these crimes.
