GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Police said alcohol was a factor in a crash that resulted in one person being transported to a hospital.

Grand Rapids police officers responded at 2:40 a.m. Wednesday to the crash scene on Salerno Drive near Elmdale Street NE.

Police said the driver's vehicle struck a tree.

The driver has serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
