GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The woman arrested following the stabbing death of a 67-year-old man in a Grand Rapids cemetery was arraigned Monday for providing false information to police.
Christina Marie Kipkorir -- formerly identified as Christina Marie Miller -- faces two charges of providing false information and one count of failing to or refusing to obey a police officer.
The judge said she remains a prime suspect in the homicide, and she remains in the Kent County Jail at this time.
Robert Louis Shields' body was found by a jogger Thursday morning along a path through Oakhill Cemetery. That night, authorities ruled his death a homicide, and said he was stabbed multiple times.
In November 1999, Kipkorir was arrested by Kentwood police and charged with Felony Assault with a dangerous weapon. She pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor asault in December 1999 pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault.
She was arrested in September 2008 by the Kent County Sheriff's Department on felony burglary, and pleaded guilty in November 2008 to felony 3rd degree home invasion. She spent a few months in jail and a year on probation.
She spent two weeks in jail on a charge of soliciting prostitution in January 2009.
Six months later, in July 2009, she was arrested by GRPD for felony larceny, and pleade guilty to a misdemeanor larceny charge in October.
