ID of body found in building released

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Police have released the name of a woman who was found dead inside a vacant Grand Rapids building.

She is 51-year-old Kathleen Marie Jason.

"The medical examiner has ruled the cause of death as undetermined," according to a news release from the Grand Rapids Police Department. Jason had a significantly high blood-alcohol level, police said.

Police received a call at 6:53 a.m. July 18
regarding a woman not breathing. Officers arrived at the building in the 700 block of S. Division Avenue and located the woman who was dead.
