GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A bicyclist told police he was beaten during an attempted robbery along a Grand Rapids street.
It happened at 12:57 a.m. Monday in the 1400 block of Madison Avenue SE.
The 40-year-old victim said he was riding home from work when three young men stopped him and demanded money.
He told police the strangers hit him over the head with pipes.
It is unknown if the strangers stole anything from the bicyclist.
Police and rescue personnel arrived at the scene and tended to the bicyclist's injuries.
