GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Police arrested the person behind the wheel of a car that crashed into a Grand Rapids apartment building early Wednesday morning.

The driver was taken into custody on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, police said.

The crash happened at 1:15 a.m. in the 1300 block of Northfield Drive NE.

Police told 24 Hour News 8 the driver was not injured and there was some structural damage to the building.
