GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) -- West Catholic High School cross country coach Dennis Scully lost his coaching job because of the "goosing" incident that led to the cancellation of the season.
Scully reported the allegations within an hour of learning what happened, he told 24 Hour News 8 on Monday.
The allegations include "goosing" and name-calling, principal Tom Maj told 24 Hour News 8 last week, but he said it didn't rise to the level of hazing in his mind or require any suspensions or expulsions.
Scully said he is still shaken up by the situation. He wasn't fired, rather, his contract was not renewed.
Police are looking into the case.
