GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A 16-year-old was arrested Wednesday in Grand Rapids for a Fifth Third Bank robbery on Nov. 8.

The teen was picked up on Ann Street by the FBI Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force. Investigators determined his name from the bank surveillance pictures released the day of the crime.

On that day, a 911 call was made at 10:21 a.m. By the time officers arrived the suspect was gone.

Police at the scene told 24 Hour News 8 the crook walked into the bank and threatened the clerks, demanding they give him some money.

He did not have a gun but implied he was armed, the clerks told investigators. He then ran north from the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

The case will be turned over to the Kent County prosecutor's office.
