GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The man authorities believe may be responsible for the deaths of seven people on the northeast side of Grand Rapids is considered armed and dangerous.
He is involved in a standoff-type situation with authorities and is currently holed up at a home on the northeast side. Police said he has hostages, although they are not hurt.
Rodrick Shonte Dantzler, 34, is 6-foot-2 and 230 pounds and may be driving a tan, four-door Lincoln Town Car with aftermarket rims and Michigan license plate BWK-2308.
He may have longer hair, perhaps even in dreadlocks.
He has a lengthy criminal record:

A relative of Dantzler said he was recently released from prison and very distraught.
