GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Restaurant Week begins Thursday at more than 70 restaurants across Grand Rapids and establishments will be offering one of two deals.
This is the second year for the event. It runs until Nov. 13. Restaurants will offer a special three-course meal for $25, with different items than what is on their regular menus. And new this year, some restaurants will offer two, three-course meals for $25.
25 Kitchen and Bar is one of the participating restaurants and its team is gearing up for a busy two weeks.
"You have to have your game face on," said general manager Jamie Boezwinkle. "You definitely have to be ready for large crowds. We definitely amp up our food orders, and many of our other orders in-house just so we are prepared for all the extra people coming through."
Boezwinkle said reservations are highly recommended but not required at 25 Kitchen and Bar, something echoed by most restaurants participating.
"People are bringing out their big guns for restaurant week, because they really want to draw people to their restaurant for their three-course meal," adds Boezwinkle. This is the best of the best, and you are going to see what Grand Rapids has to offer, it is a really exciting time."
