GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - This is not good, and it's not going to go over well.
Newsweek magazine has released its list of the top ten cities that it believes are dying. The magazine lists Grand Rapids as No. 10.
The list is comprised of cities with 100,000 people or more that have the steepest decline in population since the last U.S. Census. The magazine took those cities, and analyzed the area's population of people 18 years old and younger. If an area's population of young people was also on the decline, it made the list.
Michigan has the unfortunate distinction of having three cities on the list.
