MyGR6 announces top 60

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - MyGR6 has announced the top 60 fialists in the My Grand Rapids in Six Words competition.

Nearly 8,000 entries were submitted to the contest, and now the top 60 are vying for six prize packages valued at more than $60,000.

Over the course of this week a panel of community judges will select the six winners.

The panel will be made up of people representing academia, local government, cultural organizations and business.

The top 60 will be judged on creativity, originality, relevance, and emotiveness.

An announcment will be made on Wednesday, October 19 on who the six winners are.

The six winners will each receive the Ultimate Grand Rapids Prize Package, a collection of entertainment, food, lodging, cultural and other goods and services worth more than $10,000.

The words of all entrants are featured at The MyGR6 Interactive Experience at the Grand Rapids Public Museum through December 31.
