GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - "American Idol" star Matt Giraud was in Grand Rapids Friday to sign autographs for fans.
The Kalamazoo County native and Western Michigan University graduate appeared at Celebration Cinema North at Knapp Street and East Beltline Avenue from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday morning on STAR 105.7 FM, hosts Tommy and Brook asked fans to bring only one item to get signed by Giraud.
The autograph event was Giraud's first public appearance in West Michigan since he appeared on the "American Idol" season finale last week. He finished fifth on this season's show.
