Man shot in back during robbery

Police: Victim expected to survive

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A man was shot twice in the back during an attempted robbery Monday morning in Grand Rapids. Police continue to search for the shooter.

The shooting happened around 12:15 a.m. near the corner of Hall Street and Cooper Avenue.

After the man was shot, he walked several blocks to the area of Lafayette Avenue and Hall Street, where police found him. He was taken to a hospital by an ambulance. Police said his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

Police told 24 Hour News 8 the victim is not being very cooperative with the investigation.
