Man arrested after 2 GR armed robberies
Both occurred near Medical Mile on Wednesday

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A man is in custody Wednesday night after robbing two people at gunpoint.
Grand Rapids police captured the suspect near Lafayette Avenue and Michigan Street, near a Grand Valley State University building.
The man robbed people at two separate locations, police say. In one of the robberies, the victim chased after the suspect until police arrived. The gun the suspect used could be seen on the ground near where he was caught.
Both robberies happened in the Medical Mile area. There is no word on any injuries in either incident.
