GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A 19-year-old man was booked at the Kent County jail Tuesday in connection with the killing of a Wyoming teen who died in November after being shot and then run over by a vehicle.
Simon Aguilar is the second man to be arrested for Luis Partee's death, the victim's friends told 24 Hour News 8. Records from 61st District Court show a warrant was issued for Aguilar's arrest on open murder charges.
Omar Rosas, 18, was arrested in December. Police allege he was the man driving the vehicle that killed Partee, but investigators also have said he was not the person who shot the teen.
Although Partee's autopsy was inconclusive, a medical examiner said both the shooting and the vehicle incident were enough to kill the 19-year-old.
Court documents show the killing happened Nov. 27, 2010; which is when Partee died at the Admiral gas station on Kalamazoo Avenue SE, in Grand Rapids.
Aguilar's criminal record dates back to 2009, including arrests for marijuana, carrying a concealed weapon and larceny.
His arraignment is pending; Partee's mother said she was told by police it will take place Wednesday.
