GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A former Grand Rapids Public Schools student advocate has pleaded guilty in a sex scandal case against him.
Jury selection was to begin Monday. But in court, Kenneth Hoskins Jr. entered the plea to two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a student. He will be sentenced Feb. 18 and faces up to 15 years in prison.
Hoskins bonded out after the arrest last year but violated his conditions by having contact with one of the underage victims he is accused of having sex with, authorities say.
Hoskins was supposed to stay away from the two victims -- 16-year-old girls. The alleged incidents occurred at a motel and at his office in a Grand Rapids high school.
He resigned from the district when the charges were made public in June.
Hoskins is the son of Rev. Kenneth W. Hoskins, the treasurer for the Grand Rapids Board of Education.
