GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A former Grand Rapids Public Schools student advocate charged with having sex with two teenage girls rejected a plea deal offered by the Kent County prosecutor Wednesday.
Kenneth Hoskins Jr. allegedly had sex with two 16-year-olds, one at a motel and the other at his office in a Grand Rapids high school.
He resigned from the district when the charges were made public in June. Hoskins is the son of Rev. Kenneth W. Hoskins, the treasurer for the Grand Rapids Board of Education.
Rejecting the plea deal means Hoskins Jr. will face trial on both charges of criminal sexual conduct. No trial date has been set. He faces a maximum of 15 years in prison if convicted. He remains free on a $50,000 bond.
