Driver runs red light, hits Rapid bus
No one hurt in collision

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - An SUV collided with a Rapid bus Sunday afternoon after its driver ran a red light.
The driver of an SUV looked down at his cell phone, ran a red light at the intersection of Lake Drive and Eastern Avenue SE and collided with the Rapid bus.
None of the 15 passengers on the bus at the time of the collision were hurt. They were transferred to another bus.
The driver of the SUV and his passenger were also uninjured. The driver was ticketed for running a red light.
He told the 24 Hour News 8 crew on the scene that he only owed about $100 to finish paying off the SUV. It was seriously damaged in the crash.
