GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A Chase Bank branch in Grand Rapids was robbed after a man
walked behind the counter and started taking cash from the drawers
around 10:19 a.m. Saturday.
Police say the suspect placed the cash in a dark colored bag
and left the bank, located at 1935 Breton Rd SE.
The
suspect is 5-foot-6 with a heavy build,
investigators say. He was wearing yellow gloves, a gray hooded
sweatshirt, and dark colored pants. Investigators say he left the
scene in a white Ford Probe that was parked outside the front door.
Police say he drove south on Breton Road and then west on Burton

The get-away car was recovered a few blocks away from Burton.
Investigators say they believe the suspect left the car and fled in
another unknown vehicle.
