Bus group leaves GR for DC

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - By noon Tuesday, a group of Grand Rapidians will be in Washington for Barack Obama's inauguration, and all expressed a sense of excitement and possibility.

About 20 people booked their spots after the November election. For about $100, they can sit back and watch history unfold.

"History, you're right. It's going to be great. Just great," said Gwen Walls. "I don't care if I don't see nothing."

"It's excitement to be there," Rodney Rush added, "and it's hope that things are changing."

24 Hour News 8 will be stay in touch with this group, watching the journey through their eyes.
