GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Some local artists are getting a chance to show off their work and celebrate Black History Month at the same time.
Heartside Ministry is sponsoring the showing at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Grand Rapids.
The theme is "I Choose Love" and highlights the life and spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
"I feel like he was a great inspiration to everybody: Generation after generation after generation," said artist Niquea William. "For me to be able to paint something that represents any kind of form of him, I think is awesome."
The work will be on display until March 31.
