GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Artist Singh has been sitting atop a pole since Saturday, making paintings that will be part of his entry for the upcoming Artprize competition.

On Thursday morning, the Kalamazoo man jumped from the 40-foot pole into a collection of cardboard boxes as he ended this stage of his work.

Singh calls himself a stunt artist, and plans to break two world records.

"It's going to be the world's largest stunt painting," he said. "Each section of that painting, it will have 48 sections, and every section of that painting will be crafted while doing a stunt."

Singh hopes to display his 16-foot by 12-foot painting on a 45-foot easel, and is trying to have it displayed in Ah-Nab-Awen Park.
