GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - For the 33rd straight year, the Celebration on the Grand festival brings music, fireworks and food together in downtown Grand Rapids beginning Friday night.
What began in 1980 to celebrate the opening of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum and the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel has continued into a two-day event that features free concerts.
All the concerts will be held at two locations: Rosa Parks Circle and Ah Nab Awen Park. The festival runs through Saturday night.
Fireworks were scheduled to be Friday night, but winds caused postponement until Saturday night at 9.
Festival organizers recommend the Gerald R. Ford Museum lawn as a great place to enjoy some tunes until the firework show begins.
