GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - One of the suspects in a brutal home invasion and sexual assault has pleaded guilty to all eight of the charges against him.
Brandon Towns, 25, pleaded guilty Monday to three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, three counts of armed robbery, one count of first-degree home invasion and one count of being a habitual offender.
Towns was one of five people -- including a juvenile -- arrested just days after a Grand Valley State University student was assaulted on June 4 during a home invasion at a Veto Street NW residence in Grand Rapids.
Last week, James Hodges also pleaded guilty to the eight charges he faced in the assault.
The victim testified the suspects pistol-whipped her in the face and head, tied her hands behind her back and blindfolded her with a bandana. She said she was raped by two suspects and forced to perform oral sex on two others.
The other Grand Valley State University students -- all male -- in the house were also attacked and tied up when the men broke in during the early morning hours, police say.
Also facing charges are the unnamed 14-year-old, who is being charged as an adult but being processed through the juvenile court, Dorian Jones and Rederick Melton.
