GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Two people were shot and seriously wounded as they sat in a vehicle on the southeast side of Grand Rapids late Saturday night.

"I saw two flashes, sounded like broken glass -- not like any gunfire I've ever heard before," a witness who lives near the scene told 24 Hour News 8.

Armond Taylor, 30, and Dominique Lopez Taylor, 17, are hospitalized after being shot on Francis Avenue, north of Burton.

"I knew somebody got shot because you could see the trail of blood in the snow," said the witness, who asked not to be identified.

The blood that the witness saw came from one of the victims who went to a nearby home, where police located him. He was then taken to the hospital.

"Nobody should shoot anybody. I don't care for what reason. It's not right.  Not like that -- and then run away from it," said the witness.

Dominique Lopez Taylor has a life-threatening injury. Family members said that he was on life support as of Sunday morning. Armand Taylor is listed in serious condition.

One person was seen getting out of the vehicle and running across a parking lot.
