GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - One person is in custody after an apparent stabbing on the west side of Grand Rapids.
Grand Rapids police responded to the 700 block of Fremont Avenue NW in Grand Rapids at around 7:40 p.m.
Two people -- one of them the suspect -- sustained minor stab wounds, though police are not releasing specifics about the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
Police spent more than an hour searching the area for the suspect, who was eventually taken into custody in a nearby home.
Officers are still trying to work out exactly what happened.
