SUNFIELD, Mich. (WOOD) - One person died following a fiery crash in Sunfield that closed down a highway for four hours.
M-50, closed around noon from the accident, re-opened just after 4 p.m.
Eaton County deputies told 24 Hour News 8 more than one car was involved, but have not released any information about which car was traveling in what direction.
Robbie Atkinson, who lives just down the road, said he saw smoke and fire and spoke with the emergency responders when they arrived.
"They did say there was one person trapped, but they didn't say whether they got the person out prior to the fire or not," he said.
The name and age of the victim has not yet been released.
