Pilot OK after Greenville airport crash

GREENVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) - Pilot error was the cause of a plane crash at the Greenville Airport on Saturday morning.

An airport employee said the pilot was coming in for a landing around 11:30 Saturday morning, but hit the runway hard and broke a wheel strut causing the plane to crash.

The pilot was not injured in the crash, but some fuel was spilled and the plane was damaged.

The crash was cleaned up and airport activity was returned to normal.
