ALMA, Mich. (WOOD) - Two people are accused of stealing a purse and using the victim's credit cards and checkbook to buy thousands of dollars worth of items in four counties.
Arthur Waldron stole the purse June 7 from the Walmart store in Pine River Township, north of Alma in Gratiot County, police said.
Waldron and a woman then bought the items in Gratiot, Clinton, Isabella and Montcalm counties, police said.
The suspects were eventually arrested.
Waldron was arraigned on four felony counts, and additional charges are forthcoming. Charges are expected against the female suspect.
Michigan State Police troopers raided a home near Alma and seized the stolen items including a home theater system, flat screen television, several electronics, a large quantity of clothing and jewelry, tools, auto parts, and two exotic dragons purchased from a local pet supply retailer.
