STANTON, Mich. (WOOD) - The Montcalm County grandmother busted for possessing meth that ended up in her grandson's diaper struck a deal with prosecutors.

Lorri Compo will plead guilty to possessing meth, maintaining a drug house and child abuse in exchange for time at the Montcalm County Jail and probation instead of going to prison on a 20-year felony.

Her boyfriend, Roman Sobie, was also in court on drug charges. Sobie is charged with 2 felony counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was bound over for trial.

One-year-old Steven Rish Jr was in the home when officers raided the place. The child was turned over to his paternal grandmother after the raid. She found the drugs, hidden by one of the adults, in his diaper.

There was some concern the drugs had been placed in the infant's rectum. But the boy's mother says his pediatrician has ruled that out.

"(The doctor) said there was no force used on him in that area so, we're still trying to figure out how it got there," said Katrina Compo, Lorri's daughter.

Katrina Compo said she has nothing to say to the pair.

"They deserve every second they can get in prison or jail or whatever," Katrina Compo said, "because what they did is wrong."
