BELLEVUE, Mich. (AP) - The Eaton County sheriff's department has released the name a man who was lying on railroad tracks when a train struck and killed him.
The Lansing State Journal says the department identifies him as 34-year-old Zachary J. Farkas of Bellevue.
Sheriff's Sgt. Scott Brooks tells The Associated Press the crash happened about 4 a.m. Sunday in Bellevue. It's about 12 miles northeast of Battle Creek.
WILX-TV says the victim was dragged several blocks. It says the death closed the railroad crossing for several hours.
