CHARLOTTE, Mich. (WOOD) - A man involved in a string of more than 100 burglaries in West Michigan was sentenced on Thursday.
Joshua Goss pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree home invasion and one count of possession of burglary tools on Jan. 3.
He was sentenced to 38 to 120 months in a state prison on Thursday in the Eaton County 56th District Court.
Goss worked with married couple Jason and Heather Engle to perform the burglaries.
The Engles have both pleaded guilty to their parts in the string of burglaries. They are awaiting sentencing.
As police investigated this wide-ranging burglary spree in Kent, Allegan, Ionia, Eaton, Calhoun and Barry counties, the trio was caught after they were seen performing some break-ins.
For about six weeks, Michigan State Police told 24 Hour News 8, the three were reportedly selling their stolen items out of a thrift store on Apple Street in downtown Hastings.
Stolen goods were recovered from the thrift store and a house the Engles rented on Green Street. Police also found a pipe bomb at the thrift shop.
The trio did four- to six break-ins a day, authorities believe, between three and five days a week.
