EAST LANSING, Mich. (WOOD) - A Michigan State University professor shouted obscenities at students, stripped naked and walked through the hallway of the Engineering building, according to WILX.

The professor apparently started shouting at the students during the math class he was teaching on Monday afternoon, WILX, WOOD TV8's Lansing affiliate, reported.

He then pounded on walls and furniture before taking off all his clothing except his socks and walking out into the hallway.

MSU campus police were soon summoned to the building where they took the man into protective custody, and then to a hospital, WILX reported.

The professor, who police have not identified, is not being charged with a crime at this time.
