GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Former first lady Barbara Bush and former U.S. President Bill Clinton will be in Grand Rapids on Thursday for the funeral of Betty Ford.
She died Friday at age 93, in California. Mrs. Ford and Bush were longtime friends.
The two knew each other for many years through their time in Congress and the executive branch.
First lady Michelle Obama will attend the Tuesday California service for Betty Ford, as will former first ladies Nancy Reagan and Hillary Clinton, the current secretary of state. Former president George W. Bush will also be in California. This will be streamed live on woodtv.com beginning at 5 p.m.
On Wednesday, Mrs. Ford's body will arrive in Grand Rapids. The funeral service is set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Grace Episcopal Church in Grand Rapids. Lynne Cheney, the wife of former Vice President Dick Cheney, and Richard Norton Smith will deliver the eulogies.
