PRAIRIEVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A 5-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after police said a vehicle hit him late Monday afternoon.

It happened about 5:51 p.m. Monday on S. Norris Road near Pine Lake Road in Prairieville Township.

Barry County rescue personnel arrived at the scene and took the boy to a hospital.

Alcohol is not a factor in the crash, according to a news release.

No other information is available at this time.
