HASTINGS, Mich. (WOOD) - The Delton-Kellogg Middle School was evacuated Monday after a note was found in a restroom that indicated a bomb was in a locker.
In a statement released late Monday afternoon, Superintendent Paul Blacken said a student reported some graffiti found on a wall about a bomb in a specific locker. The staff took the threate seriously and moved the middle school students to the high school gym.
The Battle Creek Bomb Squad searched the school for several hours and determined there was no threat.
But the name of a student who may have created the note has been determined, and the investigation continues.
The district cancelled all Monday evening activities.
