HASTINGS, Mich. (WOOD) - In a case now being prosecuted by the Michigan Attorney General's office, the trial of the former leader of a Barry County youth home began with a jury being selected.
Michael Terpening faces 13 sex assault charges involving teens who were at a camp he ran, Earth Services, in Bellevue.
The case began when he was arrested on August 24, 2011 , and over time additional charges were filed against Terpening. He also faces an insurance fraud charge in a separate case.
Opening statements are expected Tuesday.
