HASTINGS, Mich. (WOOD) - A Hastings High School student was airlifted to a Grand Rapids hospital after being involved in a traffic accident Thursday morning.
Just before 11 a.m., a 24-year-old driver was headed east near the intersection of W. State and Market streets when he collided with another vehicle that was trying to either cross or turn onto W. State from Market, Hastings police said in a release.
Inside the turning car were three Hastings High School students. The backseat passenger suffered a head injury and was airlifted to Grand Rapids.
His condition is not known at this time.
No other injuries were reported by the Hastings police, and the accident remains under investigation.
