Hastings Mayor Bob May dies

HASTINGS, Mich. (WOOD) - Bob May, the long-time mayor of Hastings, died Tuesday after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 66.
City Manager Jeff Mansfield told 24 Hour News 8 May died around 1 p.m.
May became mayor in 2002 and announced in 2009 he had cancer.
The funeral will be Oct. 22 at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Hastings, 405 N. M-37. A luncheon will be held following the funeral service.
